It is important to know that God is both a ‘just’ God and a ‘merciful’ God. As a just God, He must punish sin with death. God, however, is also gracious!

I personally believe that Adam was a man of faith. He knew how to worship God because he taught his sons – Cain and Abel – to worship God and approach Him the right way, which is through a blood sacrifice: a ‘ransom.’ It had to be a guiltless one to atone for the guilty one.
Hebrews 11:4 says that “BY FAITH Abel offered to God a more excellent SACRIFICE than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.” Abel was accepted of God because there was a ransom – a ‘sacrifice’ that paid for all his sins, shortfa...

God’s desire and intent has always been to do man good (Deuteronomy 8:16). He created man to love and to be in a loving relationship with him; His design was for man to be the ‘god’ of the earth He created.
