To bring the lost to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, helping them become all that God has designed for them to be by teaching and educating the total man, spirit, soul and body by the word of God
And by so doing, raising a body of anointed believers who together as God's family are spreading the anointed, uncompromised truth of God's Word through every available means to the very ends of the earth.
About CFM
The story of Christ Family Center basically has been an adventure of faith. Born from what started as a small community fellowship known as All Christian Families Fellowship (ACFF), for Benue Cement Company staff and those living in the suburbs in Benue State, Nigeria it has become Christ Family Center International Churches that is growing and making impact in the lives of people all around the world today.
In the early days of January 2001 God directed Pastor Arome to get ready for a change that will mark the end of ACFF after about 8 years of operating as a community fellowship. God told him the era of ACFF had come to an end and it was time for the beginning of new things. That new beginning was the birth of Christ Family Ministry with Christ Family Center Amua as the home church on 16th September 2001. That same year God dealt with Pastor Arome about moving into the town of Gboko (20 minutes' drive from Amua) to start another GROWTH TRACK | 14 branch of the church.
In obedience, he moved to Gboko the following year and started Christ Family Centre, Gboko on 17th February 2002 with a membership of three. God in His wisdom knew the company was going to go bankrupt and its eventual closure will lead to the staff being subsequently dismissed. With this development, most of the CFC members at the BCC Factory Housing Estate left and those remained joined the church in Gboko town known then as Christ Family Centre, Gboko but known today as Christ Family Center International Churches.
Today, God has blessed and increased Christ Family Ministry with other Church branches, Campus student fellowships; Love is King Campaign (a Community Development initiative), Media and other ministries that are imparting lives all around the world. In 2011, our Makurdi branch was launched with the same vision of reaching our city and environs with the beautiful message of our Lord Jesus Christ. As CFM continues to increase and grow, the vision remains consistent – CFM is a church that believes in God's unconditional love for people and the power of the gospel message in raising happy and successful people.
What We Believe
At Christ Family Ministry (CFM), our faith is built on core truths that shape everything we do. These foundational beliefs guide our message, our mission, and our daily lives. Here’s what we believe:
We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and it is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God who came to this earth as savior of the world.
We believe Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming back again.
We believe water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ, and a testimony of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the regular taking of communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.
We believe every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God's word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.
Our Core Values
Love
In CFM love is the motive for whatever we do. Our motivation for whatever we do is driven by the love of God in seeing lives changed and transformed through the power of God's love. We will love God as He loves us and love others as He loves them. Love is of God because God is love! As we receive this love, we share it with others. We will show grace to others because God's amazing grace has been shown to us.
Commitment
We stay true and loyal to the vision and mission of CFM because we are committed to the cause of the gospel.
Excellence
Excellence is spelt 'honor' in CFM because we believe in giving God our best, being our best and serving our best in any given situation. We will pursue and seek excellence in all that we do, as God is excellent in all He does. We do this to honor God and inspire men and women to be everything God wants them to be.
Faithfulness
We are stewards of whatever is entrusted into our care; no matter what it takes, we will stay faithful. For us, faithfulness is courageous stewardship! We will be faithful to God; faithful to pursuing the cause He has set out for our lives and to the people He brings our way.
